What To Expect

How a FedNor ride actually works.

Every trip starts with a phone call or an online ride request, and we confirm your exact fare before you commit to anything. We ask how the patient moves, whether there are stairs at the pickup address, whether a wheelchair or stretcher is involved, how long the appointment usually runs, and whether a family member is riding along. Those details decide the vehicle we send and the driver we assign, and they are the reason our arrivals stay predictable instead of turning into a scramble on the morning of the appointment.

Service is door to door. The driver comes to the front door rather than waiting at the curb, helps the patient in and out of the vehicle, and escorts them into the lobby and to the check-in desk at the facility. Wheelchairs are secured with four point tie downs, so nobody has to transfer out of their own chair. If you need the driver to stay for the length of the appointment and bring the patient home afterward, we can arrange a wait for a fee, quoted upfront with everything else.

FedNor is a private pay provider based at 945 Concord Street in Framingham, and we operate seven days a week with same day availability for most requests. Recurring appointments — dialysis, infusion, wound care, therapy — can be set up as a standing schedule so the same driver and the same vehicle show up for every visit. Payment is due upfront, rates are quoted before the trip, and there are no hidden fees added afterward.
