What is a "Self-Paid Ride"?

A Self Paid Ride is transportation paid directly by the passenger instead of being covered by insurance, a medical facility, or another organization. If you are connected with one of our partner facilities, please call (781) 552-4559 so we can coordinate your transportation through your provider's program.

What to Expect When You Book

Every FedNor ride is door to door. Your driver arrives at your home, escorts you to the vehicle, helps you board, and secures your wheelchair or stretcher with four point tie downs. At your destination, we walk you into the lobby and make sure you are checked in before we leave. If you would like your driver to wait during your appointment and take you straight home, that is available for an additional fee.

We are a private pay service. There is no insurance paperwork, no broker approval, and no authorization delays. Payment is due upfront at booking, and you always receive a clear flat rate quote before you commit. Round trips require either a return time or a Will Call selection so we can plan your pickup properly.

Our fleet accommodates manual and powered wheelchairs up to 600 pounds, bariatric chairs, Stryker stretchers with a trained attendant, stair chair assistance for walk ups and narrow staircases, and ambulatory passengers who walk with a cane, walker, or crutches. Recurring dialysis, infusion, and therapy schedules are welcome.
